The Latest from Apple

What’s New with MacBooks?

Rumour has it that in the coming months, Apple is anticipated to announce at least three new products.

Firstly, Apple may be introducing a 15.5-inch MacBook Air. Production started in February and the launch is predicted to be in early April. This will be the largest screen yet released for the MacBook Air with the current display being 13.6 inches and the previous being an 11-inch display. There are to be no changes to the LCD panel, but sometime next year the first model with an OLED display is expected to launch. Similar to the 13-inch MacBook Air, the 15-inch display will be available with the M2 chip. According to Apple, the M2 chip has up to an 18% faster CPU, up to a 35% faster GPU, as well as a 40% faster Neutral Engine compared to the M1 chip.

Features

Secondly, the newest edition of the Mac Pro will be available with the upcoming M2 Ultra chip. This will make it the fastest Mac ever. It is suspected to have the same design as the 2019 model, but it will not have user-upgradeable RAM.

Development of iPhones

Thirdly, if previous years are anything to go off, a new iPhone colour is likely to be released in March or April. It is rumoured that the chosen colour is yellow for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The colour was last offered by Apple in 2019 for the iPhone 11 and in 2018 for the iPhone XR. For those with iPhone 14 Pro models, it is uncertain whether there are plans to release a new colour.
